My dear wife, after dealing with deafness for her first 76 years, had the coclear implant and marvels at the sounds surrounding her. Each day, her eyes water when discovering new sounds that she had missed. We celebrate her miracle and anger at those deaf parents who deny this wonder as surrendering to a handicap status. SAD!
